The weather in Argentina is opposite in most parts of the country comparing to the northern hemisphere. As the country lies on a large area, different regions are characterized by different climates. December can be the best time to visit Argentina, as the temperature in the northern and central areas rises above 23-28ºC, while the southern part is characterized by mild temperatures between 13 and 18ºC.

If you would like to skip hot temperatures, don’t visit the northwestern region, but if it doesn’t bother you, you’ll surely have a great time. If you have enough time this December or you would like to spend your winter holiday with no snow, I recommend you to visit Argentina.

The Iguazu Falls – over 31ºC

As I already mentioned it, the northwestern area of Argentina is the hottest and most arid region during summer time (November to April), thus in December, too. If the hot temperature doesn’t bother you, don’t miss to visit the astonishing Iguazu Waterfalls and National Park.

It is one of the leading tourist attractions of the country, being a world renowned natural jewel. The temperature rises above 30ºC. You may find this grade is too hot for you, but if you visit the Iguazu Falls, you’ll surely forget about this factor. The breathtaking falls recompenses every effort.

Buenos Aires – about 28-31ºC

I have to tell you that the peak season to visit Buenos Aires is December to February. So, if you can’t handle tourist crowds, skip this destination. If the crowds don’t bother you, be prepared for an unforgettable experience. The city can get hot during December, but January and February are the hottest months (about 38ºC). You’ll experience pleasant and you can also lie on the sunny beaches of Mar del Plata for instance.
