Argentina is a country well-known for its colorful relief. The geological features of the country are astonishing, including mountains, deserts, glaciers, rock formations and other natural wonders. This gorgeous country is abundant in natural attractions dedicated to visitors, including numerous national parks, lakes, waterfalls, deserted or mountainous areas, glaciers and others. Several of the most famous natural wonders of the world can be found here, in Argentina.

The deserted region – the Atacama, the Los Glaciares National Park, the Talampaya and Ishigualasto National Parks, the Tierra del Fuego National Park and the Iguazu Waterfalls are just some of the most dramatic sceneries in Argentina. These make some top destinations for every tourist.

The deserted, northern area

Known as one of the world’s driest regions, the fantastic Atacama Desert can be found in the northern region of the country. This area is also well-known for its unique landscapes and dramatic sceneries like the well-known Quebrada de Humahuaca, the salt flats of Salta or the Ibera Wetlands. This region is with no doubt one of the most fascinating areas of the country.

The Los Glaciares National Park

With no doubt one of the country’s most dramatic sceneries can be seen in the popular Los Glaciares National Park. The area protects numerous breathtaking and immense glaciers and glacial lakes. The glaciers, especially the one named Perito Moreno are very attractive for visitors. If you are interested in some breathtaking landscapes, visit the national park.

The Talampaya and Ishigualasto National Parks

The Talampaya and Ischigualasto National Parks are actually situated close to each other. In case you are interested in some unique and dramatic sceneries, I suggest you to visit these extremely popular World Heritage Sites. The Talampaya National Park is famous for its rock formations and distinctive red walls, while Ischigualasto is remarkable for its unique rock formations, including the Worm and the Sphinx.

The Tierra del Fuego National Park

As one of the most dramatic and most impressive national parks of the country, Tierra del Fuego is a great visitor attraction. This protected area is famous for its unique and dramatic scenery, not to mention the beautiful flora and fauna. Considered the southernmost national park of the world, the area is home to several astonishing waterfalls, mountains, glaciers and forests.

The Iguazu Waterfalls

The amazing Iguazu Waterfalls form an extremely attractive and dramatic landscape in the northern part of Argentina. One of the world’s most famous and largest natural attractions, the falls are protected in a national park. The breathtaking Iguazu Waterfalls represent undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking landscapes of the country.
