The Tierra del Fuego National Park

The breathtaking Tierra del Fuego National Park is one of the finest of its kind in Argentina. It is considered the world’s southernmost national park and it is well-known for its dramatic scenery. The park was created to protect its spectacular fauna and flora. It is home to some magnificent waterfalls, glaciers, mountains and lakes. The national park is dominated by the subantarctic forest. Some tree species in the park are the Lenga Beech and the Coihue. There are also some wonderful species of flowers here. The Beagle Channel

The nearby Beagle Channel is an astonishing visitor attraction. It is a major tourist attraction due to the wildlife which can be found here. The Beagle Channel is a strait which the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego and several small islands. The city of Ushuaia actually lies on the channel. Some islands are homes to beautiful sea lions which make this channel very attractive for visitors.

The Eclaireurs Lighthouse

A unique attraction of Ushuaia’s surrounding region is the wonderful Eclaireurs Lighthouse. One of the most photographed lighthouses of South America is a very popular tourist attraction, being reachable from the city of Ushuaia on short boat tours.

Cerro Castor

Cerro Castor is an extremely popular ski resort situated closely to Ushuaia. The resort welcomes tourists during several months due to the weather conditions of the area.The main season lasts actually from June to October. It is considered the longest ski center of Argentina, including ski schools, restaurants, recreation facilities and a snowpark among others.

The End of the World Train

The amazing End of the World Train takes the tourists from Ushuaia to the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Following the world’s southernmost functioning railway named the Southern Fuegian Railway, the train trip is with no doubt an astonishing experience.
