Below I will present you the best northern provinces of Argentina which are the following: Salta, Jujuy, Tucumán and Misiones. Each of these provinces has something to offer to their visitors.

Salta for instance is famous for its Salt flats which are some unique attractions, Jujuy is well-known for its picturesque landscapes, including the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Tucumán’s capital, San Miguel de Tucumán is a famous city among tourists and Misiones is abundant in some of the most popular tourist attractions of Argentina, including the Iguazú Falls, San Ignacio Miní, the city of Posadas and so on.

One of the world’s best-known and most breathtaking waterfalls are situated here, in the province of Misiones. The national park which protects the falls attracts thousands of visitors every year. So does the fantastic former Jesuit mission, San Ignacio Miní. The ruins of this amazing mission can be found only about 60 km of the provincial capital, Posadas. The province of Salta is also very popular among tourists. It is famous for its unique landscapes and relief. Being home to some amazing national parks, the province is abundant in national attractions. The Los Cardones National Park and the El Rey National Park are just two of them.

Another famous natural attraction of the province is the beautiful Llullaillaco volcano. The provincial capital, Salta is an important tourist destination, full of astonishing landmarks and attractions.

Argentina’s northernmost province, Jujuy is a very attractive region. The famous Quebrada de Humahuaca is one of the highlights of the area. Dozens of tourists visit the provincial capital, San Salvador de Jujuy, too. The Salinas Grandes, the Pucara de Tilcara and Cerro de los Siete Colores are further tourist destinations within the province of Jujuy.

Tucumán’s main tourist attractions are its capital city – San Miguel de Tucumán, the beautiful La Angostura Lake and the ruins of the Quilmes civilization. San Miguel de Tucumán attracts dozens of tourists due to its fantastic sights, including the Tucumán Government Palace, the Independence House, the cathedral, the Ninth of July Park and other sights.
